Dorman was a well-known engine builder in the 1900s to the present day. Currently, the company is still in the business of building large marine engines. This Dorman Stafford was partially built with marine engineering and you can tell by several components and construction techniques that are typical and unique to this car. The engine is still working and the car is exceptionally well preserved for a 100 year old car. We can say with certainty that this is a unique car and the last survivor of all the cars built at Darmon Stafford. This has been substantiated by the constructor and by research in England.
